Seasonal Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

Provide outstanding customer service in a retail environment, assisting customers with product needs and maintaining store standards. This role involves direct interaction with customers, product knowledge, and operational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service through daily execution of Lowe's policies and procedures
• Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
• Listen and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions, guiding them through projects
• Communicate information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information
• Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (if in Tool Rental Department)
• Cross-functionally train in other store areas to enhance customer service
• Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, and promptly communicate to management
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain store cleanliness and organization
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including daily safety reviews and keeping aisles clear
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to job duties, such as top stock safety and use of safety devices
• Operate store equipment as needed depending on specific role and department

Requirements

• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties, product features, and benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying and resolving customer issues; zone recovery; and housekeeping
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Qualifications

• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, common retail technology, and retail experience
