The Seasonal Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their needs, explaining product information, and ensuring a clean and safe store environment. This role involves cross-functional training and adherence to safety and security standards.
Responsibilities
- Provides SMART customer service through daily execution of Lowe's policies and programs
- Seeks out customers, understands their needs, and assists with merchandise location, demonstration, selection, carrying, and loading
- Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer questions, guiding them through the store and projects
- Communicates information regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty to customers
- Writes customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (Tool Rental Department)
- Cross-functionally trains in other areas of the store to deliver optimal customer service
- Detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, and reports them to management or Asset Protection
- Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain store cleanliness and organization
- Maintains a safe and secure work environment, including daily safety reviews and hazard identification
- Adheres to all safety requirements relevant to job duties, such as top stock safety and power equipment use
- Operates store equipment as needed depending on role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, key cutter, paint mixer)
Requirements
- Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties, product features, and benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying and resolving customer issues; zone recovery; and housekeeping
Qualifications
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer, retail technology, and performing retail tasks.
