About This Role

Join the City of Union City's Community and Recreation Services as temporary staff, covering various roles from Bike Workshop Technician to Safe Parking Attendant. Contribute to community programs including youth camps, sports centers, and facility rentals.

Responsibilities

Fix, maintain, and sell bikes, and assist in bike workshop operation (Bike Workshop Technician)
Oversee community recreational facilities before, during, and after activities, providing customer service and managing opening/closing procedures (Building Attendant)
Plan and implement daily sports, games, arts and crafts, drama, songs, science, and nature activities for children ages 3-12 (Day Camp and Sports Camp Leader)
Greet and assist members and visitors at the Mark Green Sports Center, managing equipment and monitoring safety (Gym Attendant or Scorekeeper)
Set up, clean, and oversee facility rentals, ensuring safety of event attendees and equipment (Facility Rental Reception Aide/Leader)
Guide fitness tours, provide operational instruction of fitness equipment, and maintain accurate records (Fitness Attendant)
Create and lead engaging activities for teens aged 12-16, fostering an inclusive environment (Teen Leader)
Facilitate physical engagement and social activities for participants with special needs aged 5-16 in a safe and inclusive environment (Therapeutic Recreation Leader)
Maintain and enforce city procedures and policies for the CAREavan Safe Overnight Parking program, performing site inspections and supervising participants (Safe Parking Attendant)
