Seasonal Cashier

About This Role

Provide outstanding customer service in a retail environment by assisting customers, processing transactions efficiently, and supporting store operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service daily through Lowe's policies and procedures
• Seek out customers to understand needs and assist with merchandise (locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, loading)
• Respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and associate questions, guiding them through the store and projects
• Communicate information regarding stock, special orders, feature benefits, application, and warranty information
• Train cross-functionally in other store areas to enhance customer service
• Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, and communicate to management/Asset Protection
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards to maintain store cleanliness and organization
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment, including daily safety reviews and keeping aisles clear
• Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to job duties, such as top stock safety and use of safety devices
• Operate store equipment as needed depending on role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, key cutter, paint mixer)

Requirements

• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties, product features, and benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying and resolving customer issues; zone recovery; and housekeeping

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience using computers, retail technology, and general retail experience.

Nice to Have

• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
