Salesforce Engineer

About This Role

This role is for a Salesforce Engineer responsible for technical development in designing, developing, and maintaining Salesforce ecosystems, including Sales Cloud, CPQ, and Field Services. This position focuses on implementing best practices and ensuring optimal solutions are developed.

Responsibilities

• Perform as an internal consultant and change agent
• Understand and consistently apply current application development methodology attributes and processes
• Collaborate, define, and maintain effective and efficient development processes, including coding standards and testing methodology
• Ensure new enhancement requests are groomed and all scenarios are clarified before development
• Develop optimal solutions considering user needs, system performance, maintainability, and scalability
• Perform in-depth review of development done by peers and provide effective feedback
• Write scenario-based test classes for automated code testing
• Provide timely assistance to the production support team
• Participate in the estimation, scope, and completion of new development requests
• Assist in training new users and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization
• Act as the liaison between users and the application development teams
• Ensure every development task is properly documented using design documents and flow diagrams
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify technology modifications that will impact business processes
• Prepare detailed flow charts, diagrams and other architectural documentation outlining system capabilities and processes

Requirements

• 4+ years of Object-Oriented software development experience
• 4 years developing in the APEX language including Classes and Triggers
• 2+ years in building modularized LWC and Lightning Flows
• Strong in Lightning Flows
• Strong in Lightning Web components
• Experienced in optimizing queries by making proper use of indexes and skinny tables
• Excellent organizational skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to follow defined processes, meet deadlines, handle, and prioritize simultaneous requests
• Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Very good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details
• Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes
• Proven ability to design and implement new processes
• Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to support and build custom apps
• Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality
• Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
• Extensive knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories in own discipline, and broad knowledge of principles and concepts of other functions

Qualifications

• Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of object-oriented software development experience, including 4 years in APEX and 2+ years in LWC and Lightning Flows.

Nice to Have

• Preferred experience in design and solutions with Architecture for Salesforce implementations
• Preferred Copado experience
• Knowledge with Curser or Agentforce
