Sales Associate - Tools

About This Role

This role combines customer service skills with a genuine desire to help customers find products and services for their home improvement needs at Lowe's.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise
• Replenish supplies by down stocking merchandise in empty areas on shelves
• Process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure customers receive merchandise as expected and on time
• Train cross-functionally in other areas of the store to help deliver excellent customer service
• Prepare merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds)
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout
• Organize merchandise and ensure all customer needs are met

Requirements

• 6 Months Experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information)
• 6 Months Experience using common retail technology (smart phones and tablets)
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
• Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
• Ability to minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation

Qualifications

• 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information; 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets

Nice to Have

• 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience
• Bi-lingual skills
• Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)
