About This Role

This Sales Associate position is a training role to become a full-time account manager, assisting the sales team, handling smaller sales opportunities, and developing expertise in the contract furniture business and sales skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sales team in their daily activities
  • Meet with walk-in/call-in prospects to determine needs and identify product/service solutions
  • Prepare quotations for opportunities under $10,000
  • Develop knowledge of Storr's products and services
  • Develop selling skills necessary to be an effective account manager
  • Complete assigned training goals
  • Develop a working knowledge of internal systems and processes
  • Achieve quarterly sales goals and activities
  • Achieve targeted customer survey scores and accuracy goals
  • Input selling activity into the CRM
  • Coordinate order fulfillment on orders booked under your name
  • Assist Account Managers with product research and selection, site visits, and customer meetings
  • Create proposals, presentations, bid responses, and mock-ups
  • Gather vendor information
  • Keep the showroom space clean and organized

Requirements

  • 2-4 year degree from an accredited university
  • Computer experience in a Windows setting
  • Ability to speak effectively and courteously with customers and co-workers
  • Ability to figure out discounts and pricing
  • Proven organizational and follow-through skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Qualifications

  • 2-4 year degree from an accredited university preferably in sales, marketing, interior design, or communications
  • Prior sales experience is preferred
