About This Role

As a Sales Associate at Petland, you will connect pets with their ideal families by providing excellent customer service, educating customers on pet care, and ensuring an organized and safe store environment.

Responsibilities

• Match the right pet with the right customer and meet the needs of both
• Provide top-notch customer service
• Educate customers on every pet’s basic needs
• Educate customers on the value of Petland pets (5-Step Sale, 4 Basic Needs, etc.) and the programs Petland offers customers
• Maintain excellent animal husbandry by performing opening, daily, and closing procedures and assisting in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment
• Assist in Community Service projects in and out of the store as needed
• Assist Animal Care Technicians with any additional animal care as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
