Sales Associate

About This Role

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Part-time Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service, meet sales goals, and maintain store standards. This role involves assisting customers, processing transactions, and ensuring merchandise presentation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and practice company's service standards with each customer
• Meet both sales and work goals as directed by store management
• Control cash and maintain accuracy of all sales and POS terminal transactions
• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through awareness and company service standards
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions
• Maintain merchandise presentation and cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills
• Participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and participate in merchandise placement on the sales floor

Requirements

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with external contacts (primarily customers) and all levels of employees
• Basic communication (both verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills
• Basic knowledge of policies and procedures
• Basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of the Store Presentation Standards

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
