Sales Associate II

About This Role

Serve customers as a Part-Time Sales Associate II, promoting and displaying merchandise, answering questions, and assisting with store operations in the Thrifty Shopper store.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers by displaying, promoting, sizing, pricing, and tagging merchandise
• Assist store management with running an efficient and service-oriented store
• Promote Rescue Mission while building relationships with customers
• Provide customer service by greeting customers, providing information, and answering questions
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of store management
• Conduct cash reconciliation at the end of shifts when store management is absent
• Display merchandise by stocking shelves, counters, racks, and tables
• Promote sales by setting up displays and informing customers of special sales
• Process payments including cash, checks, sales discounts, and credit cards
• Maintain the clean and orderly condition of the store
• Assist in identifying, reporting, and solving issues to store management

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED certificate
• Ability to work in an unsupervised atmosphere
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and days
• Customer-service oriented
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Manages time efficiently
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to visually check color coded racks and sizing by number
• Ability to bend and lift
• Nights & Weekends required

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED certificate

Nice to Have

• 1-3 years retail experience
• Previous customer-service experience
• Previous cash register and reconciliation experience
