Rooms Manager-in-Training

About This Role

The Rooms Manager-in-Training program is a 12-month career development opportunity for recent college graduates in hospitality, immersing them in Front Office and Housekeeping operations to prepare them for a long-term management career with HEI Hotels and Resorts.

Responsibilities

• Shadow both the Front Office and Housekeeping departments at the assigned hotel.
• Complete shifts in each position within the Front Office and Housekeeping departments.
• Consistently attend department meetings within the Front Office and Housekeeping departments as well as any leadership meetings at the hotel.
• Become proficient with operating the PMS and all other systems used by the Front Office and Housekeeping.
• Utilize labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
• Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve problems to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
• Ensure compliance with Room Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

• Recent or current graduate of a hospitality program preferred
