Room Attendant (Housekeeping)

About This Role

This role is critical for creating a clean and orderly environment for guests by performing general cleaning and maintenance duties such as vacuuming, dusting, washing items, and collecting trash.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms and guest areas, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, replacing supplies, and cleaning windows, mirrors, and patios
• Utilize chemicals according to directions and familiarize self with all material safety data sheets
• Maintain a stocked, organized, and clean cart with sufficient supplies
• Report maintenance issues through appropriate channels for resolution
• Document and secure lost and found items
• Communicate with guests in a professional and friendly manner
• Keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart at end of shift
• Assist House Attendant, including delivering guest requests and pick up of used guest items
• Conserve energy by closing shades and draperies, turning down air conditioning and heat in unoccupied rooms
• Report hazardous conditions in work area or equipment to supervisor

Requirements

• Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or Holidays as needed
• Successful completion of criminal background check
• Successful completion of drug screen

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in housekeeping including sanitation, laundry operations, and/or guest services
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent oral communication skills
