Roll Tender-Feeder

About This Role

The Roll Tender-Feeder is responsible for managing paperboard material, including unloading, loading, and staging rolls for sheeters, and assisting sheeter operators to ensure continuous production.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load roll stock material from trucks using a roll clamp truck
• Tape damaged rolls to prevent harborage points, adhering to SQF requirements
• Deliver roll stock material to sheeters and stage materials (e.g., plastic pallets)
• Remove sheeted stock from sheeter and double stack in proper lanes
• Assist sheeter operators to ensure continuous run of machines, including covering for breaks and lunches
• Maintain proper inventory in SAP, utilizing aged inventory first
• Perform general housekeeping of the work area, including collection and disposal of paper, metal waste, and cores
• Bring sheeted stock to pressroom and remove printed loads
• Complete full Roll Bin cycle count and re-bin as necessary weekly on the PM shift

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English
• Some clamp truck experience
• PIV (Power Industrial Vehicle) certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Hand truck experience
• Knowledge of Sheeting Department equipment
