As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will provide critical care to surgical patients immediately post-operation by managing airway support, monitoring vitals, and responding to complications. This role involves initial wound care and ensuring patient stability during recovery.
Responsibilities
- Manage airway support for surgical patients post-operation
- Closely monitor neurological and cardiac status
- Respond promptly to any complications or side effects
- Provide initial wound care to patients’ surgical sites
- Ensure patient stability during recovery
- Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
- Apply the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to deliver safe nursing care
- Assess patient condition, monitor throughout shift, and document changes along with care provided
- Educate patients and families/caregivers about medical condition, treatment and follow-up
Requirements
- Associate Degree
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
