RN - Endoscopy

About This Role

This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifecycle in an endoscopy setting, utilizing nursing processes for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. The staff nurse ensures adherence to organizational policies and procedures, demonstrates professional accountability, and coordinates patient care activities, contributing to quality nursing outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, including collection of data regarding physical, psychosocial, and health history.
• Evaluate the developmental age of the patient when performing assessments, treatments, and patient/family education.
• Organize patient data into a plan of care, identify additional information needed, and make care decisions based on identified needs.
• Carry out the plan of care to achieve desired patient outcomes, ensuring appropriateness to the severity of the disease, condition, or impairment.
• Oversee activities of ancillary and support team members.
• Identify teaching opportunities and provide resources for achieving educational goals of patients.
• Communicate issues/concerns to the Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, and/or physician.
• Document patient care and concerns in the patient record.

Requirements

• Graduate of a nursing program
• Current Georgia RN or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
• BLS certification

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program
• New Graduates of a nursing program eligible; 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting required for PRN positions
