RN Clinical Services Leader - Adult Psych

About This Role

This role involves supporting clinical services and staff within an adult psychiatric unit, focusing on patient care, nursing programs, and quality improvement. The individual will provide hands-on nursing, mentorship, and leadership to ensure high standards of care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and support to unit staff
• Supervise admissions, assess patient needs, and initiate nursing care plans
• Facilitate planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs, initiatives and objectives for the unit and organization
• Assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures
• Serve as a liaison between the manager, staff, and other areas within the organization
• Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of patient care services in a unit
• Provide hands-on nursing support, coaching, mentoring, and education for the department nursing team
• Act as a catalyst for improving the quality and safety of patients and work at the point of care delivery to transfer knowledge and patient outcome management to the nursing care team
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and act as a steward of organizational resources
• Work with team members and other leaders to develop and trend performance improvement indicators based on national standards and evidence-based practices

Requirements

• BSN
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
• Certified BLS Provider from AHA or American Red Cross obtained within 2 months of hire/transfer
