Join the Risk & Controls Oversight function at Stripe as a Compliance Data Analyst. Conduct technical assessments of the risk and control environment, develop data-driven insights, and create dynamic dashboards to represent risk and control health.
Responsibilities
- Produce comprehensive risk assessments and control health analyses by compiling data at the macro level and researching code bases to understand individual controls
- Aggregate and monitor testing results to identify trends and patterns in risk and control effectiveness
- Use overarching assessments to guide deeper investigations into individual controls, creating a continuous feedback loop for improvement
- Conduct rigorous technical testing of individual controls, leveraging expertise in data analysis
- Identify compliance control deficiencies, assess their impact and draw appropriate conclusions
- Leverage emerging technologies to facilitate speed, dynamism, and accuracy in risk and control testing and assessments
- Deliver reporting on test outputs to key compliance and cross-functional stakeholders
- Clearly communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Contribute to Top Risk Reporting, providing data-driven insights on critical risk areas
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and methodologies in risk assessment and data analysis
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, or a related field
- Proficiency in data analysis, SQL, and comfort working with LLM and AI technologies
- Experience in designing and developing metrics that effectively communicate risk and control narratives
- Experience with data visualization tools and creating dashboards
- Solid understanding of risk management principles, control frameworks, and compliance areas
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and derive meaningful insights
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data analysis and reporting
- Effective communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to various stakeholders
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, or a related field, preferably in the fintech or financial services sector
