About This Role

Serve as a key resource for plan sponsors and financial advisors, ensuring ERISA compliance and managing all aspects of client accounts from plan design to governmental reporting. This role involves providing timely customer service, resolving issues, and acting as a subject matter expert on retirement plan operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for employer, financial professional, and plan sponsor accounts.
  • Handle client meetings both in-person and via phone.
  • Provide timely, exceptional customer service, including problem solving and issue resolution.
  • Act as a mentor to Retirement Plan Coordinators.
  • Assist clients with all initial and ongoing plan design and document needs, educating them on IRS and DoL regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of present legislation and proposed legislative changes regarding ERISA law.
  • Complete/Assist with payroll processing.
  • Accountable for all aspects of valuation reports, participant statements, and annual testing.
  • Review and perform annual testing for plans, including ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 410(b), 415, 401(a)(4), deductibility, and 402(g).
  • Review distribution and loan paperwork, coordinating processing with asset holders.
  • Review or prepare Form 5500 and coordinate with plan sponsors for timely filing.
  • Assist auditors if a plan is subject to an audit (IRS or DOL).

Requirements

  • 3-5 or more years ERISA experience in the retirement industry
  • Experience in analysis of financial data
  • Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytic mentality and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to prioritize and manage tasks

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • 3-5 or more years ERISA experience in the retirement industry

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Relius software
