Retirement Plan Consultant

About This Role

Serve as a dedicated resource to plan sponsors and financial advisors regarding ERISA compliance, plan design, and governmental reporting for retirement plans. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling inquiries related to testing, 5500 filings, loans, and distributions.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and exceptional customer service, including problem solving and issue resolution for clients.
• Deliver effective verbal and written communications in a clear, concise, and informative manner.
• Mentor Retirement Plan Coordinators and collaborate to achieve business objectives and client obligations.
• Assist clients with initial and ongoing plan design and document needs.
• Educate clients on their obligations regarding IRS and DoL regulations for qualified retirement plans.
• Assist clients in meeting all IRS and Department of Labor deadlines for qualified plans.
• Assist clients with Service and IRS Plan terminations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of present and proposed legislative changes concerning ERISA law.
• Complete or assist with payroll processing as required by assigned products.
• Accountable for all aspects of valuation reports, participant statements, and annual testing.

Requirements

• 3-5 or more years ERISA experience in the retirement industry
• Experience in analysis of financial data
• Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytic mentality and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred
• 3-5 or more years of ERISA experience in the retirement industry
