Retail Supervisor

About This Role

The Retail Supervisor assists in managing all aspects of retail unit operations, including staff, inventory, and property, to achieve financial goals and company initiatives. This role also involves fostering a team environment that delivers exceptional customer service and ensures high performance from staff members.

Responsibilities

• Ensure complete guest satisfaction and resolve complaints according to customer service standards
• Monitor and supervise the setup and maintenance of the retail area and cashier stations
• Complete and assist clerks with sales in POS accurately and efficiently
• Assist in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, disciplining, reviewing, and directing unit staff
• Train hourly staff for peak performance and monitor their development
• Maintain a safe facility environment, including standards for equipment, inventory, housekeeping, sanitation, cash control, dress, and employee hygiene
• Notify the General Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or safety/quality control issues
• Assist the management team with inventory procedures
• Receive and verify quantities of merchandise, organize and stock the store, and set displays
• Perform opening and/or closing procedures

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in retail
• Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people
• Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities
• Ability to work well as a team leader
• Ability to problem-solve
• Strong customer service abilities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. Bachelor's or Business Degree preferred.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in retail.
