Retail Service Specialist

About This Role

Support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations within a retail auto parts store. Assume shift management responsibilities when managers are absent.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team member execution on customer service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process online and transfer orders in a timely manner and contact customers upon shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, ensuring accurate refunds and proper staging of returned merchandise.
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages, delegate Image Maker tasks, and complete merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to work schedules and clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, and securing the building.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification

Nice to Have

• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge
• ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
