Retail Service Specialist

About This Role

The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This role also assumes shift management responsibilities when managers are absent.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute customer service programs.
• Ensure telephones are answered according to company policy.
• Process all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, utilizing electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and accurately, issuing refunds and processing returned merchandise correctly.
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages, delegate, and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, with approved changes/deviations, and clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring security lights are on, locking doors, securing building, and arming/disarming security alarms.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification

Nice to Have

• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge
• ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
