Retail Service Specialist

About This Role

This role supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers by overseeing sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The specialist will also manage shifts when an Assistant or Store Manager is unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner, contacting customers upon shipment arrivals
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, utilizing electronic outside purchase order ledger
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, ensuring accurate refunds and proper handling of returned merchandise
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store
• Communicate Zipline messages, and delegate/complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned
• Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule and clock in/out according to company policy
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, and securing the building and delivery vehicles

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification

Nice to Have

• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
