Retail Sales Specialist

About This Role

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Specialist, you will engage with customers, promote and sell telecommunication products and services, and enhance the overall customer experience at a Spectrum store location.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the customer experience while meeting sales, service, and operational goals
• Identify sales opportunities and create ideal customer experiences through product support and education
• Build positive customer relationships, listen effectively, overcome objections, and resell the value of products
• Maintain knowledge of Spectrum products, pricing, promotions, and visual standards, while minimizing product losses
• Ensure a welcoming store atmosphere, deliver a clean retail experience, communicate effectively, adhere to policies, resolve issues, and participate in training programs

Requirements

• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate payment transactions
• High comfort level with personal technology, including mobile devices and video platforms
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to prioritize, organize, manage multiple tasks, and handle change effectively
• Familiarity with goal- and incentive-based work environments
• Strong performance in a fast-paced team environment
• Effective communication with employees and customers in person, on the phone, and in writing
• Highly effective interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, competitive spirit with a desire to exceed sales goals
• Positive and professional demeanor, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of the latest technology and devices
• 1-5 years of sales/customer service experience
• 1-3 years of telecommunications/wireless experience
