Retail Sales Lead Footwear

About This Role

As a Retail Sales Lead in Footwear, you will be the in-store expert of your department, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service and providing direction to teammates. This role supports the execution of brand standards and contributes to a positive teammate experience.

Responsibilities

• Support building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
• Build a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate in the store to foster mutual trust and respect.
• Plan, organize, and control activities up to 30 days out with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager.
• Strategically leverage teammates to ensure brand standards are met and processes are executed daily.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, and inventory.
• Assist the store leadership team with general supervision in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Assist with training new and current teammates on company procedures and programs.
• Prioritize coaching and developing self and others, teaching the 'why' behind tasks and plans.
• Lead by example to support the organization's vision by helping teammates align responsibilities with common purpose.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and treated with respect.

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekend, and holidays
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour)
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously)

Nice to Have

• Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience)
