Retail Key Holder

About This Role

This Key Holder position is responsible for the opening and closing procedures of the store, performing duties in the absence of management, and assisting with high-volume periods. They provide excellent customer service, drive sales, and support new employees.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store
• Perform duties in the absence of management
• Assist the store during periods of high volume
• Provide support for new employees
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and establishing rapport
• Inform customers of products and services, and provide product recommendations
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as restocking, counts, and discrepancy identification
• Process cash transactions accurately, including opening/closing tills and preparing deposits
• Operate scanners, cash registers, and other electronics
• Follow proper age verification policies
• Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate and provide customer receipts
• Process refunds and exchanges
• Monitor the sales floor to prevent theft and minimize loss, including bag checks and security procedures
• Maintain store cleanliness on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms
• Train new employees on store procedures, product knowledge, and customer service standards

Requirements

• 1+ years leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant or equivalent experience
• Ability to work with fluid schedules, including peak hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling
• Team-oriented mentality
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds
• High School Diploma or equivalent
