Retail Key Holder

About This Role

This Part Time Key Holder role involves opening and closing the store, providing excellent customer service, driving sales, and supporting new employees in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and establishing rapport with customers
• Arrive early to open the store and leave late to close the store
• Assist the store during periods of high volume and support new employees
• Provide customers with product recommendations based on knowledge of in-house products
• Assist with inventory management tasks including restocking, counts, and discrepancy identification
• Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including opening/closing tills and preparing deposits
• Operate scanners, cash registers, and other electronics
• Follow proper age verification policies
• Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate and provide customer receipts
• Process refunds and exchanges
• Monitor the sales floor to prevent theft and minimize loss, conducting bag checks and ensuring security procedures are adhered to
• Maintain store cleanliness and standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms
• Train new employees on store procedures, product knowledge, and customer service standards

Requirements

• 1+ years leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant or equivalent
• Ability to work with fluid schedules, including peak hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling
• Team-oriented mentality
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds
• High School Diploma or equivalent
