Retail Key Holder

About This Role

This Key Holder position is responsible for opening and closing the store, assisting customers, driving sales, and performing other duties in the absence of management at BevMo! by Gopuff. This role supports the retail operations team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and informing them of products and services
• Open and close the store according to established procedures
• Assist the store during high volume periods and provide support for new employees
• Offer product recommendations based on knowledge of in-house products
• Assist with inventory management tasks, including restocking, conducting counts, and identifying discrepancies
• Process cash transactions accurately, including opening/closing tills, counting cash, and preparing deposits
• Operate scanners, cash registers, and other electronic equipment
• Follow proper age verification policies
• Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate and provide customer receipts
• Process refunds and exchanges
• Monitor the sales floor to mitigate theft and minimize loss, including bag checks and security adherence
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist in maintaining standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms
• Train new employees on store procedures, product knowledge, and customer service standards

Requirements

• 1+ years leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant or equivalent
• Ability to work fluid schedules, including peak hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds
• High School Diploma or equivalent
