This Respiratory Therapist role involves assessing, treating, and caring for elderly guests with breathing disorders, focusing on life support systems and respiratory care procedures. The position is a night shift, full-time opportunity within a skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain life support systems
- Monitor outcomes of various respiratory care procedures
- Establish and maintain respiratory equipment par-level and required maintenance records
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunction
- Conduct quality assurance audits
- Conduct quality control monitoring
- Provide routine clinical care, including ventilator checks, tracheostomy care, suctioning, resident evaluations, care plan development, respiratory medication delivery, supply changes, and equipment management
Requirements
- Must be a certified Respiratory Therapist
- Licensed in the state
- Completion of a two-year accredited Respiratory Program
- Current CPR certification
