About This Role

This Respiratory Therapist role involves advocating for and providing exceptional in-home respiratory care, focusing on patients with chronic respiratory diseases requiring mechanical ventilation. The position manages and assesses patients through periodic home visits, dedicated to safely transitioning patients from hospital to home while improving their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Educate and administer all aspects of respiratory therapy including mechanical ventilation
• Participate in training and transitioning of patients from a facility to the home setting
• Comply with all policies and standards of safety and infection control
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner
• Manage records, complete necessary paperwork, and perform patient assessments

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Michigan State Respiratory Therapist license
• Knowledge of modern principles, methods, materials, and equipment for respiratory care
• Knowledge of possible hazards to patients and appropriate precautions
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to manage records, complete necessary paperwork, and perform patient assessments
• Ability to perform data entry of PHI into company software
• 1-2 years experience

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
• 1-2 years experience

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
