Research Manager for Telecom, Media & Entertainment

About This Role

Manage and lead research projects focused on the Telecom, Media & Entertainment (TME) sectors. The role involves hands-on writing, research, and operational management for the TME research team within Deloitte's Center for Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT).

Responsibilities

• Write thoughtful, well-researched, and provocative thoughtware related to TMT industry trends
• Incorporate strong understanding of TME sectors to create differentiating research
• Lead idea generation to address current and future industry challenges
• Manage project processes, including proposal development, workflow, resources, and milestones
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis, case study development, survey design, and executive interviews
• Develop and deliver presentations to executives and practitioners
• Provide timely feedback and coaching to junior team members
• Build effective working relationships with practice leadership and subject matter experts
• Collaborate with marketing, PR, and client service professionals to deploy thought leadership

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in the TMT industry
• Excellent business writing skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated experience in project and team management
• Strong people skills to influence executive-level thinking and create demand for research
• Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience related to the TMT industry
