This Research Co-Op position provides hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting patient care delivery, administrative tasks, and various healthcare projects. The role contributes to groundbreaking medical discoveries and professional development within the Mass General Brigham system.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of subject recruitment strategies
- Screen subjects over the telephone to determine their initial eligibility for study participation
- Perform data entry
- Review electronic medical records to pre-screen patients for study eligibility
- Perform basic study assessments on study subjects, such as anthropometric measurements, vital signs, and electrocardiogram (EKG)
- Assist in scheduling patient appointments, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and optimal patient flow
- Help with data entry and maintaining electronic health records (EHR) systems
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a relevant degree or diploma in a healthcare-related field
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Strong interest in the healthcare industry and a desire to gain practical experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
- Proficient in using basic computer software
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute as part of a healthcare team
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 0-1 year required, currently enrolled as a student pursuing a relevant degree or diploma in a healthcare-related field
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and privacy laws
