About This Role

This Research Co-Op position provides hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting patient care delivery, administrative tasks, and various healthcare projects. The role contributes to groundbreaking medical discoveries and professional development within the Mass General Brigham system.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and implementation of subject recruitment strategies
• Screen subjects over the telephone to determine their initial eligibility for study participation
• Perform data entry
• Review electronic medical records to pre-screen patients for study eligibility
• Perform basic study assessments on study subjects, such as anthropometric measurements, vital signs, and electrocardiogram (EKG)
• Assist in scheduling patient appointments, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and optimal patient flow
• Help with data entry and maintaining electronic health records (EHR) systems

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a relevant degree or diploma in a healthcare-related field
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Strong interest in the healthcare industry and a desire to gain practical experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
• Proficient in using basic computer software
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute as part of a healthcare team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 0-1 year required, currently enrolled as a student pursuing a relevant degree or diploma in a healthcare-related field
