Research Associate I

About This Role

This Research Associate I role supports compliance for dental consumables by performing experiments in the research laboratory and ensuring all documentation meets internal and external quality and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assigned experiments using appropriate equipment, techniques, and protocols under general supervision
• Apply good laboratory practices
• Plan a schedule of research activities according to the company’s timetable under guidance of senior R&D personnel
• Establish daily or weekly routines necessary to meet the project timetable
• Contribute to the design of experiments
• Identify deficiencies and suggest solutions to problems of limited scope (low to moderate complexity)
• Record experimental data and observations
• Complete calculations according to established procedures
• Maintain accurate records of work
• Prepare standard and summary of results
• Develop knowledge of the company’s existing products
• Participate in the evaluation of experiment results, ideas, competitor products, and new technologies
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including quality, complaint handling, and safety

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field required OR Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field plus a minimum of 2 years of industrial laboratory experience
• Knowledge of standard chemical or physical testing procedures
• Understanding of good laboratory practices
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Good interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field OR Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
• Entry level, or a minimum of 2 years of industrial laboratory experience with an Associate's degree
