About This Role

The Research Assistant I will join the St. Laurent Lab at Brigham and Women's Hospital, focusing on the fundamental mechanisms driving gynecologic cancer development. This role involves integrating multidisciplinary research techniques and contributing to high-impact projects aimed at improving patient lives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for data collection, management, manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Manage study cohorts.
  • Conduct outreach communication with subjects, handle mailings, and obtain necessary documents.
  • Provide assistance on work related to epidemiological studies and other population-based research.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
  • 1-2 years of experience performing mentored independent research outside of coursework
  • Strong scientific experience in molecular biology, cell culture and model systems, protein biochemistry, genomics, bioinformatics, or immunology
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve instrument issues
  • Ability to operate independently to perform complex experiments
  • Driven, self-motivated personality
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Science required
  • 1-2 years of experience performing mentored independent research outside of coursework
