About This Role

This role involves designing, building, and maintaining data collection tools for large clinical research studies within the INSPIRE Research Team. The Data Manager will manage project timelines, serve as a key liaison, and ensure data quality and regulatory compliance to support advancements in understanding pelvic pain and endometriosis.

Responsibilities

  • Build, design, and maintain data collection tools for multiple studies concurrently in REDCap and Qualtrics
  • Develop and maintain study-specific data management plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), data dictionaries, and data integration
  • Create and implement daily reports and queries to check the existence and quality of collected data and troubleshoot errors
  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA, FDA, and institutional data policies
  • Utilize tools to regularly track and report on the status of study participants
  • Maintain good communication with the research team and be a team player
  • Attend team meetings to gain insights into research project progress and to present challenges and solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 or more years of related experience
  • Advanced proficiency in the utilization of REDCap and Qualtrics for data collection and management
  • Advanced experience in dataset cleaning and preparation
  • Experience in designing and performing data quality checks
  • Experience in integration of data generated from multiple relational data collection tools
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, can maintain complex spreadsheets)
  • Strong organizational skills, attentive to detail and able to follow and action improvements to protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to observe and maintain data confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility for work in diverse settings and populations
  • Highly organized, attentive to detail, reliable and self-directed. Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 or more years of related experience

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in biostatistics or health data science-related field
  • Experience working with electronic medical record data
  • Experience working in clinical research studies with participant-reported, repeated measure, relational data collection
  • Experience with coding in statistical software with programs such as R, SAS, STATA, SPSS, or python
