Release of Information (ROI) Specialist

About This Role

This role involves processing medical records requests from various sources, ensuring patients have proper access to their health information while complying with HIPAA and other privacy laws. It maintains trust between Amazon One Medical and its patients through efficient and compliant health information management.

Responsibilities

• Access and prepare medical records as required for patients, authorized representatives, internal staff, and external organizations
• Stay up-to-date with medical records and health information release regulations (e.g., HIPAA) to ensure accurate processing
• Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, faxing and emailing confidential information, and using basic computer systems
• Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months of experience processing medical records requests in compliance with HIPAA policies
• OR at least 1 year of in-depth back-end administrative experience in a patient-centered role within a multi-state primary healthcare company
