Registered Respiratory Therapist

About This Role

Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients, including assessment, treatment plan development, and continuous monitoring. Educate patients and families on health conditions and community resources, and respond to emergency resuscitation codes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis
• Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
• Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome
• Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team code

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the Florida Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
