About This Role

This role is for a Professional Land Surveyor to support diverse land development, civil engineering, and construction projects. The position involves applying technical expertise to high-impact infrastructure and development initiatives within a collaborative, professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive land surveys using GPS, total stations, and other advanced surveying equipment to collect accurate spatial data.
  • Prepare detailed survey drawings, maps, and schematics using Civil 3D and Carlson software.
  • Manage data collection and execution for ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
  • Collaborate closely with civil engineers, architects, and project teams to develop accurate construction plans and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct field inspections to support construction staking, progress verification, data validation, and quality assurance.
  • Prepare clear, detailed survey reports documenting methodologies, coordinate systems, findings, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure all surveying activities comply with safety standards, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support during both field and office operations.

Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) (active certification required)
  • Proven experience in land surveying, including project oversight and field operations
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D
  • Strong experience with CAD drafting tools
  • Solid working knowledge of trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and survey-related mathematics
  • Hands-on experience operating GPS equipment, total stations, and related surveying instruments
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Understanding of civil engineering principles related to land development and infrastructure projects
