Provide high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing care to patients in a Step Down unit. Assume responsibility for coordinating the patient's experience, integrating care based on the nursing process, and directing patient-focused care according to established standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to all patients
- Assume responsibility for overall coordination of the patient's experience
- Integrate patient care based on the nursing process
- Direct high quality and patient focused care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, Infection Control
- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care
- Teach patients and significant others information concerning health care needs
- Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team to promote high-quality cost-efficient health care
Requirements
- Florida RN licensure
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- ACLS (AHA) for Telemetry and higher acuity units
- Basic EKG interpretation for Telemetry and higher acuity units
Qualifications
- Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure
