Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN Nights

About This Role

This Registered Nurse (RN) position involves delivering and supervising patient care, utilizing the nursing process, and planning for interdisciplinary needs and discharge. The role includes patient and family education for post-hospitalization and accessing community resources.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including interdisciplinary planning
• Provide discharge planning for patients
• Educate patient and family for post-hospitalization care
• Access community resources for patients
• May perform other related duties as assigned or requested
• May perform duties as a Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required)

Requirements

• RN License in the state you are applying
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification (preferred initially and required after 90 days, required from day 1 for Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU)

Qualifications

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments
• Higher comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines, etc.
• 2 years of experience in direct patient care
