About This Role

This Registered Nurse (RN) position involves utilizing the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients within the nursing unit. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and providing comprehensive patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and patient/family education for post-hospitalization.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care to include interdisciplinary planning
• Perform discharge planning
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization
• Access community resources
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse responsibilities

Requirements

• RN License in the state you are applying
• Current BLS certification

Qualifications

• Entry level, one year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments
• Higher comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines, etc.
• 2 years of experience in direct patient care
