Provide professional nursing care in pediatrics, making decisions appropriate for patient age and condition using the nursing process. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet patient needs, adhering to CVMC policies and the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for pediatric patients
- Make nursing care decisions appropriate for the age and condition of the patient
- Utilize the nursing process in patient care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to meet patient needs
- Adhere to CVMC/departmental policies, procedures, and philosophy
- Practice within the guidelines of the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act
- Abide by the CVMC Nursing Bylaws
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State
- BCLS certification
- PALS certification within three months of employment date (for Pediatrics)
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- No previous experience required, except as listed for specific units; able to assume call responsibilities within three months.
Nice to Have
- BSN
- Specialty course work and certification in area of practice
