This role involves providing specialized clinical support to medically fragile and technology-dependent children, focusing on leading care planning, guiding families, and advocating for patient needs. It offers an opportunity for experienced RNs to practice in a high-acuity environment with a consistent schedule, building lasting relationships with patients and mentoring other nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement individualized care plans
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments
- Administer medications and advanced therapies (including IV therapy, TPN, and complex treatments)
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families
- Supervise and mentor LPNs and Nurse Technicians
- Support emergency response and clinical safety
- Ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards
- Deliver safe, developmentally appropriate, and compassionate pediatric care
Requirements
- Credentials as a Registered Nurse with a current state license (PA - Pennsylvania) in good standing
- Valid, current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Meets the qualifications of a Child Care Supervisor as described in 55 Pa. Code Chapter 3800
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level

- Training and work experience in a pediatric setting preferred
