The Registered Nurse in the Chemotherapy Infusion Center provides direct nursing care to oncology patients, specifically administering high-risk medications such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy. This role involves working within the St. Luke’s Cancer Institute clinics, which are full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on nursing care for the oncology population
- Administer high-risk medications such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy
- Administer blood products, fluids, and injections
- Cross-train to other departments within oncology
Requirements
- Nursing Degree
- One (1) + years’ RN experience
- Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified
Qualifications
- Nursing Degree
- One (1) + years’ RN experience
Nice to Have
- Oncology experience
- OCN certification
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification
