Registered Nurse - Chemo Infusion and Triage

About This Role

This role is a dual-role position for a Registered Nurse, splitting time between Chemo Infusion and Triage. The nurse will provide direct nursing care for oncology patients by administering high-risk medications and utilize critical thinking skills to triage calls for patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands on nursing care for the oncology population
• Administer high-risk medications such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy in the chemotherapy infusion center (CIC)
• Administer infusions including chemotherapy/biotherapy, blood products, electrolytes, fluids, etc.
• Utilize strong critical thinking and assessment skills to triage calls
• Evaluate patients of all ages undergoing treatment
• Promote a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness
• Integrate technical skills, scientific knowledge, and a caring attitude in the clinic and through the triage process

Requirements

• Nursing Degree
• One (1) + years’ RN experience
• Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified

• OCN certification
