Registered Nurse Burnet Emergency Room

About This Role

Serve as a Registered Nurse in the Burnet Emergency Room, providing patient-centered care and supporting family through the healthcare experience. This role focuses on clinical judgment, compliance with standards, and collaborative team practice.

Responsibilities

• Sustain a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards for patient services staff
• Support leadership in efforts to meet and sustain regulatory compliance for the department and hospital
• Monitor and comply with safety and departmental policies and procedures
• Ensure all individual certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled in a timely basis
• Collect clinical data, follow algorithms, decision trees, and protocols
• Document plan of care, care delivered, and patient and family outcomes
• Integrate age-specific and culturally inclusive concepts into patient care, considering chronological age and developmental functioning
• Facilitate patient and family learning by providing structured education and using teach-back methods
• Participate in shared governance at the point-of-care as a member of unit-based councils or by contributing to shared decision-making
• Demonstrate consistent integration of the Interprofessional Practice Model (IPM) in all aspects of practice

Requirements

• Associate/Diploma prepared RN from an ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution
• Enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire date if without BSN/MSN, and complete within 5 years
• Active Ohio RN License

Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma prepared RN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution or BSN/MSN
• 2+ years of experience for Associate/Diploma prepared RNs
