About This Role

As a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), you will provide high-quality, compassionate dental care and create meaningful patient experiences, working in cooperation with dentists and other clinic staff to deliver a full scope of dental assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Work to full potential by performing advanced tasks like creating temporary crowns, applying sealants, performing final impressions, and class one restorations as directed by the dentist
  • Assist the dentist during complex surgical extractions, ensuring precision and efficiency while providing critical chairside support
  • Anticipate the dentist's needs by understanding detailed procedures and mastering instrumentation
  • Pour and trim models, take accurate impressions, and assist in the fabrication process, including waxwork for partial dentures and other removable appliances
  • Educate patients by explaining aftercare instructions, guiding them through post-surgical recovery, and answering their questions
  • Build trust with patients, guide them through their care, and provide education to help them maintain healthier smiles
  • Prepare and reset treatment rooms efficiently, assist chairside during procedures, and maintain accurate patient records in EMR
  • Collaborate with the team to participate in quality improvement initiatives and deliver top-tier care

Requirements

  • Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification
  • Ability to create temporary crowns, apply sealants, perform final impressions and class one restorations
  • Experience assisting with complex surgical extractions
  • Proficiency in pouring and trimming models, taking accurate impressions, and assisting in fabrication processes
  • Skill in patient education and advocacy
  • Ability to prepare and reset treatment rooms, assist chairside, and maintain accurate EMR records
