About This Role

Assist dentists and dental hygienists in providing primary care dental services to patients, focusing on underserved communities. Responsibilities include direct patient care support, sterilization, and inventory control of dental instruments and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist and dental hygienist in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients
• Perform sterilization of dental instruments
• Prepare dental instruments and supplies
• Manage inventory control of dental instruments and supplies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate from a California Board-approved RDA education program
• Current California Registered Dental Assistant License (Coronal Polish/X-ray/Sealants)
• Current BLS Certification from American Heart Association
• Infection Control Certificate
• California Dental Practice Act Certificate
• Current California Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Familiarity with dental terminology, instruments, materials and medications used during dental procedures
• Knowledge of professional and ethical standards of health care delivery
• Availability to work outside of normal shifts (e.g., 8am to 5pm) and on Saturdays
• Computer proficiency, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook and Word, and with electronic health record data entry

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, Graduate from a California Board-approved RDA education program

Nice to Have

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Community clinic experience
