The Substance Use Counselor will assist patients through medically assisted treatments and provide techniques for handling opioid use, conducting individual and group sessions for crisis management and coping strategies.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services
- Coordinate all services throughout treatment at regularly scheduled intervals
- Complete Bio-psychosocial assessments
- Facilitate, establish, and review with each patient the initial treatment plan
- Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
Requirements
- Registered Counselor in the State of California
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus
