About This Role

This role involves significant patient care as a Registered Behavior Technician, delivering behavior analysis services under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. The RBT will implement procedures, collect data on behaviors, and ensure exceptional patient safety and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Implement continuous and discontinuous measurement procedures
  • Collect electronic data on client behaviors
  • Describe behaviors and environments in observable and measurable terms
  • Prepare for sessions as required by the skill acquisition plan
  • Apply contingencies of reinforcement (e.g., conditioned/unconditioned reinforcement, continuous/intermittent schedules)
  • Utilize discrete-trial teaching methods and naturalistic teaching strategies (e.g., incidental teaching, task analysis, chaining approaches, discrimination training)
  • Carry out stimulus control transfer, prompt and prompt fading, generalization, maintenance, shaping, and token economy processes
  • Identify key elements of written behavior plans and implement interventions based on motivating operations and discerning stimuli
  • Put differential reinforcement procedures into effect (e.g., DRA, DRO)
  • Prepare objective session notes meeting legal, regulatory, and professional standards
  • Maintain consistent dialogue with a supervisor and address inquiries
  • Adhere to BACB supervision requirements and maintain professional boundaries

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved education program for RBT credentialing or student on a path to working with autism spectrum disorder
  • 1+ year of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician
  • Active BACB RBT Certification in good standing
  • American Heart Association CPR/BLS with live component (or willing to obtain)
  • Effective communication with patients, providers, and co-workers
  • Ability to handle challenging situations independently

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for BACB RBT Certification, or a student on a path to working with persons diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder
  • 1+ year of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician
